This House of Home boltless 5 tier shelving unit carries up to 175kg per shelf and 875kg in total, with a wider and deeper footprint than standard shelving units making it ideal for bulkier items, large tools, and workshop equipment.
The keyhole tongue and groove locking system is one of the simplest assembly mechanisms available. Posts slot together using a rubber mallet only — no bolts, no screws, no additional tools of any kind. Most customers have it built and loaded in under 30 minutes.
Each shelf is constructed from cut to size MDF board paired with a heavy duty steel frame, both finished in a galvanised powder coat. The galvanised finish provides an additional layer of corrosion resistance making this the better choice for damp environments such as outdoor sheds, garages without insulation, or utility rooms where moisture is a factor. The wider 40cm shelf depth gives you significantly more usable storage surface than a standard 30cm unit, making this the better choice for storing paint tins, power tools, or workshop supplies side by side without stacking.
Shelf heights are adjustable throughout so you can configure the unit around whatever you are storing, from tall items at the base to smaller tools and accessories on the upper tiers.
